    Quite a busy week of fund raises, IPOs and deals to summarise across MedTech and Biotech. Here is Matt Lowdon‘s highlights in his weekly update. Congratulations to all involved.

    ➡️ Roche inks $200M-plus licensing pact for Freenome‘s cancer screening blood tests

    ➡️ GE HealthCare plans to pay $2.3 billion in cash to acquire imaging software developer Intelerad, toward the goal of building a cloud-first diagnostic ecosystem that can tap into ambulatory, teleradiology and hospital settings.

    ➡️ GSK has paid $50 million upfront to partner with LTZ Therapeutics on myeloid cell engagers, expanding its cancer pipeline to cover a modality that has attracted Eli Lilly, Novartis, Pfizer and Sanofi.

    ➡️ Rhizocore Technologies, a pioneering biotech company using fungal technology to enhance tree growth and survival rates is set to expand into North America after raising £4.5 million in fresh investment.

    ➡️ Emm, a biowearable tech startup based in Bristol, has raised £6.8m in a seed funding round to bring its “smart menstrual cup” product to market.

    ➡️ InvenireX secures £2M to commercialise its disease detection platform
    The company’s programmable DNA nanostructures can identify disease markers lost by today’s testing methods—cutting time and costs in half.

    ➡️ Abbott dives into cancer diagnostics with $23B buyout of Exact Sciences

    ➡️ AI-driven intelligence platform Sorcero has secured $42.5m in a Series B funding round to expedite its global growth in the medical device, medical affairs, safety and scientific communications sectors.

    ➡️ Solventum, which spun out of 3M nearly two years ago, will shell out up to $850 million for wound care specialist Acera Surgical in its first major acquisition.

    ➡️ Radiology provider Lumexa Imaging eyes IPO expected to raise $200M

    ➡️ Aspen Neuroscience, Inc.’s cash reserves have been fertilized with a $115 million series C fundraise that will enrich the biotech’s ongoing trial of a regenerative cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease.

    ➡️ Celltrion Inc is continuing to think bigger than biosmilars, this time securing the option to use TriOar Inc.’s antibody platform in a deal potentially worth more than $350 million.

    ➡️ Dutch Avanzanite Biosciences NV has secured €32 m in a Series A financing round from MVM Partners to scale orphan drug commercialisation across Europe.

    ➡️ MitoRx Therapeutics Ltd has raised £5.5m in a seed financing to advance Myo‑004, a small molecule mitochondrial-targeted obesity therapy enabling fat loss while preserving lean muscle mass.
