    🔔 Kailera Therapeutics appears to have set a new benchmark for biotech IPOs with an upsized $625m offering to fund its pipeline of obesity therapies.

    🔔Newly formed medical device manufacturing business Quvara Medical has secured a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK to acquire a major medical technology production facility in Swindon.

    🔔Chinese clinical-stage biotech Oricell Therapeutics announced the cumulative closing of a pre-initial public offering (IPO) financing round in excess of $110m.

    🔔Belgian biopharma UCB has agreed to acquire clinical-stage biotech Neurona Therapeutics for up to US$1.15bn, betting on a one-off cell therapy that aims to structurally repair the brains of people with drug-resistant epilepsy.

    🔔The British Business Bank has made its largest funding commitment to date, investing £100m in Apposite Capital Healthcare Growth I.
