I am a final‑year PhD researcher in Biomedical Engineering specialising in medical device design, soft‑tissue biomechanics, and the experimental mechanical characterisation of complex braided structures. My work combines hands‑on experimental research with data‑driven modelling to inform device design decisions within regulated environments. I have led multidisciplinary collaborations across academia and industry, managed technical reporting to clinical and engineering stakeholders, and applied design control and risk management principles to translate experimental findings into functional device concepts. Alongside my research, I bring strong proficiency in MATLAB, Ansys, Mimics, SolidWorks, and advanced mechanical testing techniques, supported by a first‑class engineering degree and multiple specialist certifications.

I am motivated by solving complex engineering problems that directly impact patient outcomes, and I thrive in environments where technical rigour, creativity, and collaboration come together. My experience spans project leadership, teaching, and stakeholder management, including delivering high‑profile engineering projects, supervising student teams, and holding multiple elected leadership roles within the engineering and STEM community. I am particularly passionate about driving equity, diversity, and inclusion in the sector, having founded and led several initiatives to support underrepresented groups.
