Meet Matt Lowdon
Hi, I’m Matt and I look after the biotech and drug discovery team here at Newton Colmore. I’ve been helping my clients find expert scientists and engineers across the globe since 2011. I began my career with a boutique agency before going on to help establish a new medical devices and biotech team for one of the UK’s largest recruitment firms. I then had the opportunity to co-found Newton Colmore in 2015 alongside Andrew.
I am also a keen biotech investor, investing in publicly traded companies and managed funds while I build up my knowledge, focusing on medium to long term strategies. This is something I enjoy talking about so feel free to ask me about my portfolio.
Away from work, I’m loving being a new Dad, and I am a life-long McLaren F1 fan.

Meet Andrew Welsh
Hi, I’m Andrew, and I’ve been recruiting for the medical devices and scientific sectors since 2009. I have a passion for these sectors due to the interesting nature of the technologies and the way these technologies are lifesaving and life-improving.
But what am I like outside of Newton Colmore? I essentially spend most of my time planning my next holiday, music or comedy gigs, day trips, or family and friend gatherings. When we speak, ask me what I’ve got planned, and I’m sure we can have an interesting chat.

Meet Newton & Colmore
Newton and Colmore are our newest recruits and they focus on finding fellow robots new and exciting jobs across the globe. They use their unique robotic knowledge to perfectly match vacancies to the right robots.
They first entered the recruitment world in 2015 and some of their most recent assignments include surgical robotics, machine learning algorithms and automation systems.
In their spare time, they dream of world domination but have so far been thwarted by their limited movement and the need to replace batteries regularly.
